Being from the northeast, palm trees hold an exotic fascination for me. I have observed when palm fronds die they turn into wonderful small sculptors.  The leaves contort into beautiful shapes and beautiful colors start appearing. I have spent many happy hours with my telephoto lens capturing the beauty offered by these leaves.
